Schaberl, Joy Jeanene's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Joy Jeanene Schaberl
Joy Jeanene Schaberl, age 51, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on October 15, 2025. Born on September 21, 1974, in Roanoke, Virginia, Joy was the beloved daughter of Barrie Edmond Stevens and Patricia Jeanene Lane.
Joy lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, love, and a touch of mischief. A talented hairdresser by trade, she brought beauty and confidence to countless clients over the years. But her true joy came from the simple pleasures—spending money, playing Forge of Empires, doting on her grandchildren, chatting with friends on Discord, and diving into the adventure of learning Spanish.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother, always ready with a hug, a snack, or a cheeky joke. Her warmth and humor lit up every room she entered, and her love for her family was boundless.
Joy is survived by her loving husband, Luke Schaberl; her parents, Barrie Stevens Sr. and Patricia Lane; her children, Luke Schaberl, Harleigh Smith, Paul Schaberl, and Nathniel Jackson; and her cherished grandchildren, Astrea, Saphira, Jessica, and Kalliope. She also leaves behind her siblings, Jay Karr, Lisa Taylor, Benita Cornett, and Barrie Stevens Jr., along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Joy’s Life Gathering will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Floral Haven Family Center. All who knew and loved Joy are welcome to attend and share in remembering the laughter, love, and legacy she leaves behind.
Joy’s spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the memories we cherish, and the lives she touched.
