Joyce Dees' Obituary
Joyce Ann Whiteside Dees passed away on July 11 in Montgomery, Texas. She was 77. Joyce was born and raised in Tulsa and attended Webster High School. After graduating from The University of Dallas, she taught elementary school and ultimately opened an educational-based daycare center in Dallas.She was loved greatly and reflected that love to everyone she met. A lifelong Methodist, her faith was apparent and deep. Most important was her love of family. Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry Dees; her daughter, Pamela Swift of Denver; 4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Services will be held July 20 at 10am In Tulsa, Oklahoma at Floral Haven Cemetery. There will be a reception with a light lunch following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to support The American Cancer Society in Joyce’s name.Services will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 20 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
