Over the past weeks I have spent nights laying in bed thinking about her. As the struggles of this life seem to drown out the memories (both good and bad) of the past. I remember mom never turning away this young boy when he needed to crawl into her bed for protection. I remember her stopping for every turtle alongside the road and allowing me to explore my wild kingdom moments. Mom was always ready to fight my battles, she didn’t care if I was right or wrong. Growing up we always had air conditioning and heat. We always had clothes and shoes. We didn’t know that we didn’t have a lot, but we always had enough. We were far from poor. Mom was always the constant in the home. Everyone stopped by was welcome. Thank you all for attending her service, she had a positive impact on a lot of people. That was evident by the amount that was in attendance..
