Joyce Ann Owens' Obituary
Mrs. Joyce Ann Owens, age 80, left this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, surrounded by her children . She was born to parents Joe and Anna Rogers in Gans, Oklahoma, on Monday, December 29, 1941.
She was a strong defender of her family and a true fighter to the end. She loved all she met, but family was most important. She was always bragging about her grandchildren, wanting to know even the most intimate details of their lives. A proud grandmother, mother, sister, and aunt she always thought of others first. Never afraid to say or do what she felt was right. You never left a conversation with her wondering what she meant by that. She was always eager to visit with whoever called and always willing to speak on any topic. She was at times hard to get off the phone. She loved to thrift shop and often stopped at every garage sale as her nature was to save a penny and collect treasures. She loved deeply, laughed hard, yelled loudly, and cried without regret. She was a Godly Christian woman that was never ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
During her 61 years of marriage, she worked several different part time jobs. She took me with her selling Avon and then worked in the elementary school cafeteria just to stay close. In the early 80’s she worked for American Airlines, this allowed her to travel to see her adult children stationed with the Marine Corps. We visited California and Hawaii more than once.
Joyce is survived by her Husband Carl Owens; Children Marcy and Randy Frost, Karl Michael and Tammy Owens, Joe and Dianne Owens; Grand Children; John Owens, Blake Owens, Devan and Ariel Owens, Jared and Jasmine Frost, Dylan and Kristen Owens, Brandon Frost, Stephine Singleton, Kayla and Jason Pickel, Kendra Frost, and Rachel Climer; Great-Grandchildren Chole Frost, Lucas Owens, Sadie Owens, Harrison Owens, Emma Webster Frost, Chole Singleton, and Cash Singleton; Siblings Nelda and Bradly Tabor, Clark and Dawanna Rogers, Cathy and Gary Rougley, Pam and Tom Randolph, Jeff Rogers, and M.L.
