Judith "Judie" Lee Bauer's Obituary
Judith “Judie” Lee Bauer, neé Fall, left this Earth on April 14, 2026 at her home in Tulsa, surrounded by her loving family. Judie was born to Marion and Helen Fall on January 29, 1944 in Great Bend, Kansas. She was raised in Burdett, Kansas with her 4 siblings. The love of her life and future husband, Grover Bauer, was also from Burdett, where they met as young children. After graduating from Burdett High as the class Salutatorian in 1961, Judie attended Emporia State College, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She married Grover Bauer in 1963 in Burdett, on an August day so hot that the candles in the church melted! After marrying, she completed her education at Fort Hays State College, graduating with a degree in education. Judie spent her early married years teaching school in Burdett, where son Doug was born. Grover’s new job with Conoco eventually took them to Salt Lake City, where daughter Michelle was born. Then a move to Montana, then on to Ponca City, where daughter Tara was born. Tulsa would eventually became home in 1974, where Grover entered the commercial-industrial real estate business and later formed Bauer & Associates, with Judie at his side as a Property Manager. Judie was very involved in all of her children’s activities, and was always their biggest cheerleader! She continued that with her grandkids, never missing an activity or game if she could help it. Judie was known for her beauty and quick wit. She was a whiz at games, whether Bridge, Mahjong or Poker- her monthly Poker nights with cherished neighborhood friends were a highlight for many years. And she was known to enjoy playing a slot machine from time to time! She made sure she was up on Facebook, Instagram, and the art of texting, so she could be sure to keep up with the grandkids! Judie was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Helen Fall; siblings Greg Fall, Bob Fall, and Sharon Moulton. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Grover Bauer; children Doug ( Dianne) Bauer, Michelle (John) Folks, and Tara (Mike) Tiernan; grandchildren Audrey Bauer, Amelia (Riley) Carter, Evan Bauer, Jake Tiernan, Dawson Tiernan, Charlie Folks, and Evelyn Folks; sister Janet (Richard) Everett, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Rose Chapel at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on April 25 at 12:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank Saint Francis Hospice for their compassionate care.
