R. I. P. Cousin.
Kenny is my Cousin, Friend, Masonic Brother & I was fortunate to have been 3 years younger to learn about mumbly Peg, shoot marbles, play horseshoes, basketball, baseball, fish, spit, whittle, fly kites, ride bicycles, go camping, swimming, tell ghost stories, run thru the woods with our dogs, crawl over the fence into a junk yard, go under the vidoc and talk to hobos that were about to catch a free ride on the next, train, learned to roll down a hill all tucked into a car tire behind Aunt Della's house (you only do this one time….once is enough) he tried to teach me to play the drums, guitar and trumpet but gave up as I had zero talent, throw coins against the wall, shoot dice, play canasta and poker, slap jack, old maid, climb trees, take care of turkeys, ride horses, take care of a pet skunk, going to sleep at Fiddlers Bend listening to a small gas engine generate enough electricity to operate a yellow bug light that hung down from a tree whereby our parents (Dorothy, Eddie, Felix & Pauline) would play canasta. The long extension cord from the generator was some 75 feet away and the generator was geared so that it sounded like it was just barely running with a putt,…..putt….putt…..putt & might stop any second, however it just kept going, going and going until Kenny and I fell asleep after our ghost stories and we dreamed about chocolate cake and pepsi cola……..Will miss my Cousin, Friend and Brother!.TW
Kenny was a mentor to me in the drum section of the Grove High School Band. He was always a delight to be around. Joyce Prochaska Smith
