Kenneth Allen Wilburn's Obituary
Kenneth Allen Wilburn was born June 19, 1943 in El Reno, Oklahoma and passed away March 23, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kenneth was a member of the following organizations: Oklahoma Masonic Lodge #505 (Redfork/Brookside) Past Master of the lodge twice. Oklahoma Masonic Lodge #555 (Akdar), Charter member and Past Master of the lodge. International Oklahoma Masonic Indian Degree Team traveling overseas with the team several times.He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason. Tulsa Akdar Shrine where he drove children to and from the various Children’s’ hospitals until his health went into decline. He attended Webster Schools until Jr. High then the family moved to Grove, Ok. Where he had the honor of becoming Drum Major for the Grove Ridgerunners. He graduated Grove High School in 1961. After High School, he became enlisted in the USAF served 4 years, then signed on to the Air National Guard until he had a total of 24 years, he retired from USAF. During his years in the ANG he worked work for Southwestern Bell where he stayed for 39 years. He was and avid Ham Radio operator, liked to play country style guitar, was drummer for at least two well know country music entertainers, liked to dance to country & Western and LOVED riding his Harley trike. He is survived by his wife, Margaret J. Hitchcock; son, Keith Wilburn and his spouse Theresa; daughter, Kristi Sills; grandchildren, Abby & Sam Stills; sister, Lisa McElroy and her husband Gary & daughter Samantha and numerous other relatives throughout the United States. Kenneth is preceded in passing by his father, Felix Wilburn & Mother Pauline (Wyers) Wilburn. Kenneth will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.There will be a Memorial Service Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
