Kenneth Woodruff's Obituary
Kenneth Keith Woodruff, 79, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2020. Kenny was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on November 11, 1940 to Wilson and Evelyn (Dessinger) Woodruff.
Kenny was known for his tough exterior filled with the love of a teddy bear. KW dedicated his life to living in the fast lane as a Chief Mechanic of race cars for over 50 years. In 2005, he was inducted into the Sprint Car Hall of Fame for years of wrenching feature-winning sprint cars. His knowledge and expertise will live on in the work of those privileged to spend any amount of time with him. When racing was not his focus, Kenny enjoyed playing slots in different casinos, but nothing meant more to him than spending time at home with family and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Evelyn Woodruff, daughter Debbie Breeden, and brothers Willy, Charlie, Gary, and Ed Woodruff. Kenny is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Anita (Annie) Woodruff, twelve children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother John Woodruff, and sisters Nancy Sheker and Emma Phillips, and many other extended family members and friends.
To honor our racing legend, a Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
