Lance Allen Wilcox's Obituary
Lance Allen Wilcox, 49, of Sand Springs, passed away on November 25, 2020. He was born to parents Allen and Sue Wilcox on September 13, 1971. Lance Allen Wilcox was born in Pryor Oklahoma. He and his sister Susan were raised in a loving and Christian home by his parents Sue and Allen. He excelled in sports growing up playing football but one passion he would stick with was baseball. He could play just about any position on the field but he was best at pitcher and he had several no-hitter games in his career. Music was also something his entire family was involved in and it carried over into his life as well. He was in All-State Choir and Band and would later go on to receive a full scholarship to Arkansas University for trumpet. He attended Bryan Institute for Computer Programming and was hired right after completion to work at Community Care of Oklahoma where he worked for 24 years also meeting the love of his life Mary. Mary and Lance married in 2005 and have three children Aaron Garde, Michael Wilcox, Gage Wilcox. They have enjoyed 15 loving years of marriage and so many memories of Clearwater Beach FL, attending Church, but most of all Family time among so many other things that they will treasure forever. Lance will be greatly missed by all who knew him as he had the most infectious humor and calming way about him when you would meet him.
Lance is survived by his wife Mary Wilcox; his children Aaron Garde, Michael Wilcox, and Gage Wilcox; his parents Lee Allen and Sue Wilcox; his sister Susan Wagoner; his inlaws Tommy and Brenda Rogers; his brother in law Mike Rogers and wife Heather; his nieces and nephews Erin Hope Nutter, Kellie Wagoner, Cadence Rogers, Canaan Rogers, and Kiersten Rogers; along with a host of other family and friends that will forever miss him.
He is preceded in passing by his twin brother Rance Wilcox, and his grandparents Granny Willie Gage, and Howard Gage, and B. A. Wilcox.
