I will never forget Pastor Morris and his ministry both in Faith Baptist Church and also Enfield Christian Academy where both of my sons attended. He consistently gave the example of a love for the Lord, missionaries and each family. The VBS with penny offerings and the family nights where each would bring as many Bibles as possible are just a couple of memories when there are so many, many more. The Lord provided Pastor Morris to accompany my son in the ambulance when my husband was killed on impact in an auto accident right after picking my son up from ECA on February 24, 1994. As my son wandered through the field someone from the Hall & Muska building recognized the uniform and called the church. Notification had not yet reached me and so Pastor Morris was there to ride in the ambulance with my 10 yr old son. Could any parent even know to pray for such a blessing as that? Pastor comforted and prayed the whole way with my son in the ambulance. At the hospital I was frightened of what I might see since I was told the small Honda my husband and son were in had been pretty much demolished. Pastor offered to and did identify my deceased husband's body. Pastor made sure that both of my sons were able to get through their studies the remainder of the school year extending leniency with the grief and uncertainty my sons felt at times There is so much more that I could write but suffice it to say Pastor Morris was a blessing to many and he loved people and had a heart for the lost. We were so blessed to have Bro. Morris as our Pastor at Faith Baptist Church for nearly two decades. Our wedding was the first one he performed after coming to the church and he helped make it very special. Our children surprised us by having Pastor and Mrs. Morris come to our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration in 2002 and he led us in renewing our vows – that is also a very precious memory! All five of our children were saved and baptized under his ministry, and educated at Enfield Christian Academy. There is nothing he wouldn't do to help people. But most of all, he had a passion to see people come to Christ and grow in grace. He also had a great passion for world-wide missions, and under his ministry our annual Faith Promise offering grew steadily, allowing the church to support well over 50 missionaries. He would be pleased to know that the church just reached this year's Faith Promise goal in just 50 weeks, an ongoing testimony to his leadership. Pastor Morris has, in his own words, "out-stripped us in the race", but we rejoice that he is home with the Lord and that we will see him again.

My family and I had just moved into a house in Connecticut. I was intending to plant a church. Within a short time of moving in, Bro and Mrs. Morris drove into our drive way, opened their trunk and delivered to us a trunk full of groceries. He remained a friend during the 11 years we were there, and that friendship continued…..

Pastor Morris was truly a blessing in me and my families life growing up as a teen. He was not our pastor, but he was friends with my parents Bob and Carol Smith. He will be missed, but will see him someday.

Pastor Morris baptized me and encouraged me in the faith. I still have the brown Scofield Bible he gave to me at my graduation from BBCE. The past 30 years that I've spent in the ministry are due in large part to his faithful preaching of the Word in my time at FBC. I will also never forget his protective shepherd's heart. One sermon I'll never forget was entitled, "The last Sermon I'll Ever Preach" – The gospel laid out passionately. Thanks for finishing well.

Pastor Morris was my first pastor I remember from childhood. His love of missions lit a fire in my heart for missions that took me to South Africa to share Jesus. I know he was meet by a great host of saints who have been waiting to say, "Thank you for giving to the Lord"! Thank you for investing in my life Pastor and Mrs. Morris.
