Lark Vernes Morris' Obituary
Lark Vernes Morris, loving husband, father, and grandfather, age 83 years old, went to his Heavenly Home on September 26, 2015. Lark was born July 11, 1932 to Julias Arsbon and Ida Lee (Wyatt) Morris in Santa Anna, Texas. Lark married the love of his life, Dena Marie Boyles, on May 28, 1949 in Odessa, Texas. To this union, five children were born. Lark will be dearly missed by his loving wife Dena Marie Morris of the home; children Steven Ray Morris, Paul Wayne Morris and wife Dana Robin, Lenette Marie Riley and husband Joe, and Thomas Jay Morris and wife Erika; daughter-in-laws Linda Ann Morris and Jamie Renee Morris; 15 grandchildren Alisa Hemminger, Charlie Shonka, Shane Morris, Sarah Morris, Stephanie Lindsey, Rachel Morris, Daniel Morris, Britany Dilley, Christopher Scott, Grant Morris, Katlyn Morris, Kelli Riley, Michael Riley, and Tyler Morris; and 9 great-grandchildren. Lark is preceded in death by his parents; son Michael Joe Morris; grandchildren Joelle Engles and Matthew Wayne Smith. Lark dedicated his life to the Lord at the age of 21. From that point, he served the Lord as a pastor for over 50 years; his ministry reached and influenced thousands of people throughout the world. Lark loved the Lord and the Church with all his heart. He continued to serve and praise the Lord up to the moment of his passing. He was a devoted husband, father, and pastor who will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. ~ 8: p.m., September 29, 2015. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Friendship Baptist Church, 14100 E 86th St N, Owasso, Oklahoma.Lark’s favorites verses were Ephesians 3:20~21: 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
