Larry Gene Bowe's Obituary
Larry Gene Bowe went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Larry was born on December 10, 1946 to Edward and Gertrude (Robinson) Bowe in Pratt, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Ticonderoga and the USS Coral Sea. A graduate of Wichita State University with a BA in Business and Psychology, Larry started a successful financial planning company called American Republic.He is survived by his “bride,” Francoise Wass, whom he married 20 years ago in Tulsa on December 11, 1993. Larry’s marriage involved Francoise’s three children, who also survive: Amanda Olsen of Broken Arrow, OK; Zechariah (Zak) Wass of Canfield, OH; and Bambi Fowler of Tulsa, OK, along with his grandchildren, Deacon Olsen of Broken Arrow; Evrett and Christopher Fowler of Tulsa. He is also survived by three brothers, Deny and his wife, Ginger of Pratt, KS; Steve and his wife, Patty of Medicine Lodge, KS, and Dave and his wife, Wendy of Lake Jackson, TX; and a sister, Sandy and her husband, Ron Heflin of Pratt, KS, nieces and nephews.Larry had three priorities in life that he would willingly die for: God, his family, and his country.In 2006, Francoise was called to New York as an oil/gas Landman for a six-month project that has lasted for eight years. When she didn’t return to Oklahoma after six months, Larry left his business and joined Francoise in the new Shale Plays in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. They have lived in Canfield, Ohio for several years and both have worked in the Pittsburgh, PA area. They maintain their home in Broken Arrow.
