As a young boy, Naomi was my big sister at home. When she married Joe, he became my big brother. Their names became one word- Naomi & Joe! Living in rural Missouri, we did not have a phone at our farm. It was always a great surprise to see them driving down our lane, coming for a visit! Holidays at Mom's was always enjoyable, with food, fun and siblings coming to ' do what Mom told us to do..'! Like gather around her playing the piano and sing with her to old hymns and tunes.
One special visit, all the girls dressed 'Hawaiian' and had so much fun, they laughed until they peed themselves - which caused MORE laughter!
At Jack's house we enjoyed a reunion each summer that we could get as many together as possible.
For Naomi and Joe's 50th Wedding Anniversary- they put on Overalls and held Chamber pots-- to show that when they married, they didn't have a pot to P... in!
Thanks for being my sister and giving me another brother!
