Lillian Eola Randolph's Obituary
Lillian Eola Randolph was born on March 11, 1931 to the late Rosena and Howard Patrick in Murfreesboro, TN. Her family migrated to Chicago and it was there that she married Dr. Roosevelt Washington, Jr. Together they raised a daughter and two sons in Denton, TX.Lillian returned to Chicago in 1976 and worked as an Administrative Secretary for Northwestern University where she remained until her retirement. In 1987, she married the late William “Bill” Randolph. They later moved to Saginaw, MI., and she found work doing what she loved, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lillian worked as Chaplain in several jail ministries operated through the Michigan Sheriff’s Association until her health began to fail her. Heaven is celebrating Lillian’s homecoming and the many lives she touched through her ministry teachings, and counsel. Lillian Eola Randolph made her transition from this life and into eternity on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the age of 88. We will miss her passion for life, and her amazing knowledge of the Word of God which she used to bring people to faith. Take your rest, thy good and faithful servant.Lillian was preceded in passing by her husband, William Randolph; parents, Howard and Rosena Patrick; daughter, LuWanna Pruitt and son-in-law, Thorner Pruitt; six brothers, Thomas Patrick, Clifford Patrick, Luther Edmonson (step brother) Zachery Patrick, Roscoe Patrick, Richard Patrick; one sister, Carnie Skates.Those she leaves to cherish her memories include her children, Ron Washington and his wife, Kathy of Tulsa, OK; Ken Washington and his wife, Jana of Ann Arbor, MI; brother, Howard Patrick Jr. of Flint, MI; stepchildren, William Jr, Milton, Michael, and Gregory Randolph. grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Zandra Bailey (Andre) and their children Zharia, Zion, Zaire -Grand Prairie, TX; Stacey Hathaway (Chris) and their children Aubrey and Claire, Edmond, OK; Stephanie Washington, Tulsa, OK; Melvin Pruitt, Saginaw, MI; Michael Pruitt (Kimberly) Phoenix, AZ; Jennifer Amaya (Ricardo) and their children Aaliyah, Ricky, Nayeli – Tucson, AZ; Daniel Washington (Macy) – Pasadena, CA; Rachel Washington – Albuquerque, NM; and a special niece, Joan Patrick Morris – Detroit, MI.The family would like to thank the staff at Woodland Terrace Assisted Living and Brookdale Memory Center for their support and loving care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. You are truly angels on earth. Celebration of Life Service will be 12:30 pm, Friday, July 12, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.
