I am blessed to be a part of "MOM " and "DAD" Tryon's life if only for a brief moments of their busy and fruitful missionary days. As a young boy in the Philippines back in the 70's, I remember MOM Tryon will pick me up in Paniqui on her way back to Moncada from Clark Air Base where she works to attend evening classes at the Bible School they just setup. I learned typing and organ lessons from her and DAD Tryon will teach Bible classes. No wonder even now many are amazed of my typing skills and I got that from her. One of my fondest memory is when I am having dinner with the family and I love her fried chicken so much I took 2 pieces and Steve stop me and he got scolded by MOM. That is how a loving person MOM is. Many more values like hard work, accountability, honesty, and faithfulness were instilled in me as I turned into an adult. Fast forward to OKINAWA in the 80's and almost every year I go on TDY duties at Kadena Air Base. I stayed with them on the weekends and have fellowship with them. DAD will show off all his electronics stuff and I enjoy MOM's cooking. Sometimes on Saturdays, we have picnic in the beach of Okinawa together with the local congregation. MOM and DAD Tryon were like second parents to me as they guide me trough my spiritual journey and physical life. I owe them a lot for what I am now. MOM thank you for your love, hard work, patience, wisdom and passion for God. You will always be remembered and will always be in our heart even with my wife and family.May our God of Comfort be with the rest of the Tryon family as we shared our common grief but also share a common hope that one day up there we will be rejoicing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Your Filipino "son" – Danny Pangilinan
