Maria was the sweetest person I have ever known. She was such a joy every time I saw her. Although she was sick, she always was so happy and thankful and full of life. My heart breaks for her family. I will miss seeing her every six months. She even came to babysit my son with short notice! I know she is completely healed and walking streets of gold, but I’m sure going to miss her!
I’ll miss the fun times we had in the summer (Cedar Point and pool-fun times with your family during the summer. See you later, my friend.
Maria was definitely one of the sweetest people. She was ALWAYS super sweet despite what she was going through. She will be dearly missed. Praying for her family.
Maria was almost 8 years old when we got married. We have always remembered fondly how much fun she had dancing to the Macarena and blowing bubbles. Wishing peace and love to to Joseph and the Werling family. Xoxo. Amy and Scott Thatcher
Maria was 100% princess. She brought a new meaning to Cinderella’s quote of “Have courage and be kind.” She was the best friend you could ask for with a laugh that filled the room. We had so many great times over the years, trying on formal dresses just for fun, throwing a wonderful baby shower for me with all of her amazing crafts, and being an awesome godmother to Hailey. During one of our phone calls Ria said “I would wear a ball gown everyday or sweat pants. There’s no in between.” That was her, fun and fabulous! I love you and miss you dearly my best friend.
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Maria. I have many lovely memories of Maria.
Other than having the most perfect skin of any human on earth, Maria also gave the best advice. It didn’t matter what I was going through, Maria always knew what to say. She was insightful beyond measure. She had such a poetic way of saying things. She always made things make sense. I will miss her advice most of all.
Maria was always asking how everyone else was doing. She would ask how Charlie was or my sisters. She never spent too long discussing what she was going through. She always wanted to know that everyone else was doing okay. You would have never known Maria was in pain or unwell. She always put on a smile and made sure you knew she cared about you.
Last week when I last spoke to Maria, I asked her how she was doing, she said “I’m a work in progress”. I will never forget that. I hope I can work to progress, just as Maria always did.
