Marilyn and I shared an interest in fiber work of all kinds. At one time, I worked with another mutual friend, Nancy, who sold hand-dyed fiber for spinning. We were at a conference, and Marilyn came into our booth and exclaimed how much she liked a wonderful pair of handspun, handknit socks we had on display. I laughed, thinking she was kidding around, and she looked confused. Then I pointed out that those were HER socks, and we all had a good laugh. She was dedicated to her craft and I also remember how impressed her doctor was with her recovery after knee surgery, because of how much she exercised it before surgery treadling her spinning wheel. Marilyn was always a lot of fun and she is missed!
I won't be able to attend her celebration of life, but know that I will be thinking of her and all her family on that day!
