Marilyn Buster's Obituary
Marilyn Joyce Buster, 87, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away May 29, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Community. She was born August 4, 1936, in Coffeyville, Kansas, the daughter of the late Eugene and Nellie Fern Brown Misegades. After graduating high school, Marilyn entered nursing school at St. Luke’s in Kansas City, MO, graduating in 1958. On March 29, 1958, she married Richard Buster and they moved to Tulsa, OK. During her nursing career she worked at hospitals, the health department and a pediatrician’s office before taking the school nurse position with Owasso Public Schools, from which she retired in 1993. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, weaving, and spinning. She was a member of The Handweavers Guild of Tulsa and Knitting Needles In Tulsa until her move to Rogers, AR in 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Buster, son, Tim Buster and brother, Maurice Misegades.
She is survived by her son, Mark Buster (Lisa), daughter Katherine Bartgis (Aaron), grandsons, Tyler Buster (Kyndra), Bryan Buster (Liz), Andrew Bartgis, Jack Bartgis & Joshua Bartgis and great grandson, Dylan Buster.
Interment in the Restlawn Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS.
