Marilyn has been dear and happy person loving and caring for the others even those she did not know. We sent our son Mateusz (Matthew) to school to Tulsa, OK and we were so stressed at that time more than 25 years ago, because USA is overseas and another, to us from Croatia, unknown world. There was a war in Croatia at that time and this was the decision made by our family meant as the opportunity for him to extend his views, experience and dealing with different people and cultures. Lewis family was the one who accepted our son giving him much more than just a shelter. In fact Marilyn was like his Mom and Dean as a Dad. I remember our first phone call before we sent Mateusz to Tulsa. Than we communicated by e-mails and from time to time by phones. Marilyn gave her heart and love to our son together with Dean and all other family members. In fact he felt like a member of the family which was something quite special and generous from our American friends whom we call and consider a family. We remember our last visit to Tulsa in July last year. We were all together: Lewis family and entire family from Croatia. This was a special occasion for us and we enjoyed every minute of spending time with Marilyn and all the others. I will keep Marilyn in my memories as generous and altruistic person, ready to share her kindness with others. She was sincerely altruistic determined to practice her altruism in everyday activities during her entire lifeâ?¦till the very end. She left us so suddenly and I have all the time a feeling that there is something more I would like to tell her. What it could be? We miss you Marilyn so muchâ?¦and we love you so much, truly. Milan and your Croatian family
