This is Linda Pettingill.. I worked several years with Margie’s husband Joe at Christian Family Institute and got to know sweet Margie at our holiday parties and baby showers and other celebrations. I was drawn to her sweet spirit and pretty smile and her love for her Savior!! ❣️
We attended Redeemer Covenant for a short time and I attended some of the Bible Studies Margie led…so annointed to teach… her infectious love of God’s word was so inspirational! I pray for you Joe and your whole family to feel your loving Savior’s arms holding you as you all navigate through your great loss! I will Celebrate though that Margie has moved to her eternal place where her God reigns and dwells! In His Love ❣️

When I moved back to Tulsa, I had a hard time with the transition. Margie met me for dinner and just listened to me pour out my heart. I hadn't seen her in years, yet when I told her I was struggling she immediately offered to meet with me. I left that dinner feeling heard, loved, valued. All the genuine benefits of having a warm friendship were always imparted from even the shortest visit with Margie. If I could sum her up in a sentence, I'd say she is the dearest woman on earth... and now in heaven :).

Margie was a patient of the doctor I work for. Every time I called her she was would answer the phone and greet her, she would said “hello my Shelby girl how are you” and it would just light my soul with joy and worth. She was truly a loving person that will be missed.

Margie has been a friend since high school and I can testify that she was surrounded by an aura of kindness and grace with every step she took. She had the sweetest smile for everyone and said the most precious prayers. She was one of a kind and I miss her already.

I have been fortunate to know Joe and Margie for over 25 years. My wife, Joanne, and I vacationed with them twice at Grayton Beach FL where we and our kids stayed in the main house while Joe and Margie were assigned to a small cottage out back called “The Love Shack.” Margie was so very full of love and life and also had a spirit of adventure. Here she is about to go canoeing and she is all smiles. We loved our you Margie and miss you so much already.

I am fortunate to have known Margie and Joe for 25 years. My wife, Joanne, and I went on two beach vacations with them and Margie was in her element … happy, adventurous, fun. We loved our time with them. Margie went canoeing one afternoon and loved it. We love her so much and will miss her greatly.

When Greg and I got married 5 years ago, Joe performed the wedding, and Margie provided bride flowers, groom boutonnière, wedding music, and got us a cake. Over the top, in true Margie style.
Forty-one years ago, after Jerry’s and my son died , I learned from Margie that it was “okay” to be angry with God; that God was big enough to handle it. Then, after Wade was killed, she and Joe taught me how to properly grieve, without the anger. I was able to handle Jerry’s death so much better. These are just 2 ways that Margie touched my life; there are many, many others. She will forever impact me, and I will never forget her precious smile and voice. 🩷
