Marjorie D. Wortham's Obituary
Marjorie D. Wortham passed away April 2, 2017 at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Amanda Elizabeth (Ray) Bearden and William Almus Bearden. Marjorie is preceded in passing by her mother, Amanda Elizabeth (Ray) Bearden; her beloved spouse of 50 years, Marion Wortham; her daughter, Kay Wortham; her three older sisters and her niece.Marge is survived by her daughter, Donna Gilbert; daughter, LuAnne Haller and her husband Mark J.; grandchildren, Jared Taylor Gilbert and his wife Kristin, Drew Wortham Gilbert, Rachel Leigh Gilbert, Isaiah Christopher Haller and his wife Courtney, Elizabeth Kay Haller and her husband John Jellema, Emily Michele Haller; great-grandchildren, Cecile Ruth Gilbert, Hudson Janos Haller, Griffin Daniel Haller, Harper Lovely Haller and numerous other family members and friends.Marjorie was a teacher for the Tulsa Public Schools for 35 years. Her former students still recall their favorite memories of her were the books she would read to them every day after recess. When Marjorie wasn’t working she enjoyed listening to music and playing the piano, gardening, watching the news and traveling. She traveled throughout the US and abroad on several occasions. The most important thing to Marjorie was her family; she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Marjorie will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.There will be a Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Tulsa
