Having been high school sweethearts, Mark and Penny were to celebrate 40 years of marriage this August 22, 2020.
He was a dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son who left us much too soon. Mark devoted himself to the fulltime care of his Dad during his illness, and was always lending a helping hand to family or friends when needed. He was beyond proud of his daughters, Randi Jean and Ashley and always had praise for them. His grandchildren were blessed to have such a loving grandpa.
Mark’s hobbies and enjoyment always included animals, boats, muscle cars, and motorcycles, accompanied by music. The last concert he attended was one of his favorites, singer/songwriter, James Taylor. Many of our favorite memories include family time at the lake.
He was a survivor of kidney cancer of 6 years.
His career consisted of working for many aircraft projects, including the B-1 Bomber and the Challenger Space shuttle. He later owned & operated a small trucking business, Exendine Transport, and was currently still driving for a family-run asbestos remediation company.
His love for his family, his caring heart and especially his smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
