Wow, I came across this Ms. Hunnicutt obit. She was my elementary school principal at Lee Elementary School, 1986-1988. Then we both went to Nimitz Middle School the same year. Once I graduated from Nimitz Middle School, I never saw her again. I often wondered what happened to her. I wish I had reached out to her as an adult. She was a great principal and had a personal hand in my development in my formative years. She was a lovely woman, I'm glad to have known her.
Marilyn was a wonderful lady that I was proud to know and to teach for her at Lee Elementary! She was a awesome person and administrator that I am thankful to have had as my principal!! I met Marolyn when I went to college at Northeastern State and she was one of my first roomates. I was sorry to read about her passing in the paper today. I have many good memories about her.
