My prayers are for my very best friend Darel, Marty's soul mate and her family. I am saddened by her departure but I know she resides now in a much better place. She was so kind to me when I would come to her house to see my Best friend.Kindness is a rare gift that few ever naturally acquire…with Marty it was second nature. She was a unique and special lady. I will miss her smile and hospitality, but I know I will see her again some day!
I'm so sorry to hear of Marty's passing. We met through Willie's website, many years ago, and became online friends. At our first face-to- face meeting, at a show in Bossier City, LA, I was impressed by her genuine spirit. She was the nicest, most joyful person and I remember that occasion, and the time I spent with her, with great fondness. Our paths had not crossed lately, but she was the kind of person where that would not have mattered: Once a friend, always a friend. I am saddened by her passing and my heart and sincerest condolences go out to her family and friends.
To Darel, Betty, Peggy, Jackie, Mike, and family:Jaclyn and I met Marty when we were very young. I always thought of Marty as my second mom. She had that contagious personality and smile that everyone loved. She was such a special person. I had no idea when Marty introduced me to horseback riding at a young age, that horses would be such a big part of my life to this day. When people ask how I got involved with horses, I always tell them about Marty. I have the best memories of Jaclyn and me riding Caper at Marty and DarelÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s house. We had the best time riding and visiting. I regret not staying in touch. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for loving and taking care of her Darel.
Marty was a special lady with a smile that would light up any room.I enjoyed her company at several Willie Nelson concerts in Bossier City and in Austin. We all had such a great time.She will be missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing her.Ann Royal Austin, Texas

Marty was like a second mom to me. I have so many great memorys of her when I growing up. She got me in my sister into riding horses. I will always remember going over to her and staying the night and riding. I really hate how I have gotten older and busy with my own life that I havent been able to stay in touch with Marty. I will truely miss her. Im so sorry to the family and Darel. You were such a great husband to her and you always took care of her.
