During college, I was given my student teaching position at Westmont Junior High with Dick as my supervising teacher. I couldn’t have asked for a better example, guide, and friend. He blessed me with his wisdom, consistency, and of course, his humor! He gave me a very precious gift when I left that school – a video of him at home wishing me well and reminding me of all the “lessons” he taught me. Many years later, I moved into his town, Bolingbrook, and had the pleasure of running into Dick often at his retirement job. Then, it was even sweeter when he started attending the same church. I will miss his quick wit and our geeky math conversations. Blessings to you, Linda.
