Mike said it perfectly!. I was honored and blessed to be part of the Thorpe family. There will never be another Martha, She inspired me to think, "What would Mom Martha think?" It is almost how much love that one Lady could hold in her heart! How wonderful to best friends with Sandy and part of her family. And, It was really fun!
Thanks Cheri
Thanks Mike, a wonderful sentiment and it exactly describes Mom's love for all of us. Steve
While growing up in Tulsa, I was a "member" of the Thorpe household all through high school and college as Steve and I were best friends. Art and Martha were like second parents to me and I recall I was at their house almost as much as I was my parent's home. Martha frequently would say that she "practically raised me". Indeed she did. She would always provide a sympathetic ear to listen to my woes of teenage angst… always listening and never judging. She would praise me when I really didn't deserve it and also scold me when I did. I will always cherish these fond memories of Mom Martha.
There just isn't enough words to express how truly loved and missed my Granny's going to be. They will never be another like her!
So sorry to hear of Marty's passing. I remember Marty many many years ago. She was always funny and witty. Such a good mom. Thoughts and prayers to the family and my good friend Sandy.Cheri Burns
My grandmother was a very special person and words cannot relay all of the wonderful things that she did for her family and for the ones that she loved. My grandmother had a special gift to make each and every one of her family feel like they were the only ones in the world that mattered. We will all miss you Granny but we will see you again soon because of the faith in Jesus that you shared with us.
Marty, Martha, mom was a wonderfully loving woman who deeply cared for each and every member of her family. Memories of her will last forever. We will miss you.
