Mary Lue Potter CartwrightGod opened Heaven’s gate as a special Angel came home. Mary Lue Potter Cartwright went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2016. She was born on June 7, 1936 in Jay, Oklahoma. Her parents Stirling Potter and Lena Potter would call her a gift from God. She attended and graduated from Jay High School where she participated as a cheer leader and basketball player. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she sang in the O.U. choir and the O.U. Trio. She was an avid sports fan, loving the St. Louis Cardinals Major League Baseball team, Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Basketball team, and the Oklahoma University Sooners. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Oklahoma University. Mary Lue belonged to numerous social organizations in Tulsa, Oklahoma including Jr. League, Tulsa Boys Home, Tulsa Children’s Workshop and the Tulsa Philharmonic Association. She was President of the Tulsa Bankers Wives Association, President of the Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association and she was Owner of Tahlequah Abstract and Title Company, Inc. for over twenty (20) years. She is survived by her husband, Roy G. Cartwright, her daugher, Gayla Cartwright-Braker and sons, Drew Scott Cartwright and Roy Keith Cartwright. She is also survived by her identical twin sister, Betty Sue Santee and sister, Melba Manhart and Meda Ellis. She is a member of South Grand Lake Christian Church and will rest in peace at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Floral Haven Memorial Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
