Rev. Richard Ayers
Rev. Richard Ayers, Morrison United Methodist Church. I so enjoyed my visits to Mary Louise and John at the home on Taz Street. Mary Louise would seat me at the little table in the kitchen. Immediately she would begin asking me if I were thirsty or hungry. She was glad to prepare whatever I might ask for. Then we would sit and visit until John came from the bed room. My impression was that she was a caring spirit and would welcome anyone to her table. She was gracious and warm. She was also a wonderful conversationalist who always asked good questions. She wanted to know more about me and the church (which she dearly loved), where I had come to learn about her and have her share stories of life, family and faith. I loved her smile and the bright light that twinkled in her eyes. This was a remarkable woman and a dear soul that now resides with her creator and redeemer.
