She so loved her family and delighted in sharing pictures and stories every time we saw her or talked on the phone.One of my favorite memories of Aunt Mary was one holiday not too long after her first husband died. She was having Thanksgiving dinner and called my Dad with an emergency. Her hot water heater had broken; would my Dad please bring some tools along to help fix it. When we got there, she had already fixed it herself — with a bobby pin! So typical of her!I felt a great kinship with her as she was closer in age to me than to her oldest sister, my Mom. One of my last memories of Aunt Mary was at my mom's funeral last October. I watched Aunt Mary go over to the casket, hold mom's hand, and talk/say goodbye to her oldest sister. I had tears in my eyes just wondering what she said to mom.Aunt Mary was always so bubbly. She never lost her youth.
Have many fond memories of Mary when visiting at the home office in Rockton and our reunions of the "Good Guys". Cathy Camp Roop. former Plant Mgr. at the Festus, Mo. plant.
Our condolences to the Haynes/Hopper family. Mary was always a cheerful person and a I was proud to have her as an aunt. Her smile was contagious – you couldn't help but feel good each time you encountered her. Dear Jim and all family members, Will miss Mary so very much. Oh, how she loved to play bridge (imagine she has a game going in heaven already). Won't ever look at a deck of cards without thinking of her. Also recall how she would amaze us by getting in her little car and driving to Illinois by herself to visit family up there.
