Mary Patricia Pratt's Obituary
Mary Patricia Pratt, age, 73, known to friends and family as “Pat,” of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, entered heaven’s gates March 1, 2015. She was born to James Milton Beck and Mary Elizabeth Rongey, December 8, 1941, at her childhood home in Searcy, Arkansas. Pat graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1960. She married Larry Winston Pratt in 1964 at the Bellaire Nazarene church in Texas, and moved right away to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pat will be especially remembered for her quick wit, infectious laughter and genuine spirit. She always put others before herself and her generosity knew no bounds. Her joy in life was to serve others and spend time with her family. Pat was a nanny to many children and was passionate about making a difference in their lives. She stayed in contact with them throughout her life and considered them a part of her family. Pat faithfully attended Broken Arrow First Church of the Nazarene for 40 years where she formed, what she called, her many “forever friends.” She loved to travel to visit family and go on adventures with her granddaughter. Pat is survived by her mother and husband, and her sister, Christine Beck; her brother, Donald Beck; and her children Beck Pratt and wife, Anna, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; Beau Pratt and wife, Suzette, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Bethany Pratt, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Madeline and David Pratt. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, James “Butch” Beck; her sister, Ann Colbert. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Clarehouse, 7617 South Mingo Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133.The memorial service will be held at Broken Arrow First Church of The Nazarene on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
