Mary Alice Smith's Obituary
Mary Alice Smith, 86, passed away on Febuary 19, 2023 while residing with her son, Aubrey and daughter-in-law, Donna in Citrus Springs, Florida.
Mary Alice was born on June 30, 1936 in Cascilla, Mississipi and was the daughter of Emmitt DeRoy Shackleford and Annie Lee Shackleford. She worked in the health field as a Certified CNA caring for others for 45 years. She finally retired in 2012 at the age of 76.
She had 3 children, all sons, and was a loving and gracious mother. Mary Alice enjoyed watching various TV programs, learning new things on her smartphone and passing the time playing solitaire.
She is survived by her son, Aubrey Allen Smith, 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her sons, James Emmett Smith, Edward Lincoln Smith, Jr., and granddaughter, Gina Nicole Smith as well as her brother, Glen Allen Shackleford, sister, Hazel Lee Price and parents, Emmitt and Annie Shackleford.
