Paulette, Rick & Brit – at the we found his "index card file" on each of the girls – Britny Barnett was right on top —lots of notes!! His demeanor was such a calming force – right Rick??😊
Mike and the Toney Family has been a very important part of our lives in so many ways. From my boys and the Toney girls being classmates in school, to me working with Joyce and Michelle at Prudential to Mike coaching and giving batting lesions to my granddaughter Britny. Mike has touched the lives of so many and left memories we will all cherish. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Toney family for comfort and peace during this most difficult time.
So saddened by the loss of Mike to the family and the world. He was such a great guy. Mike was a year ahead of me in High School and, yes, he loved to fish.In the summers, he and I would take his dad's boat out almost every good day, waterski on Lake Tenkiller…about every other day, we had to swim the boat back to the dock as it would breakdown, HA…so we had lots of "swim-n-ski" days. But, fishing was his passion…I had a small aluminum boat with a 7.5hp motor…just enough to get us to our favorite crappie hole. Oh, the memories….I will miss him, but cherish all of the memories that he left behind…God Speed.
From Megan – Mike's granddaughter – Someone needs to tell the story about my game in BA where someone complained and said a fan had a noise maker (air horns) and the lady said what field? And they said oh that's just Joyce, mikes wife😂❤️
Joyce, Melissa and I are saddened to hear about Mike's passing. We both have many memories of Mike and softball. He seemed to always have a smile, kind words, and he worked so well with the girls. He touched many lives over the years, as I am sure you know. We missed seeing you, Mike and Michelle at the BCAP Bunko event in March.Cheryl Marrs, Melissa Marrs Willis Tulsa Blazers
As my softball coach, Mike always picked at me about how slow I ran. His pet name for me as elephant. (Not for any other reason than I ran slow) But he would challenge me by running backwards faster than could run forward….oh that smile the whole time. He taught me that if I wasn't going to run faster, I'd better hit that ball harder. That…I did . So many great memories. Love to the family ❤️
So many memories. Too many to mention. Mike was a wonderful man. He had an electrifying smile. Many many fond memories. I remember Joyce got him tickets to the orange bowl that ou was playing in. She wrapped an orange and a bowl and it took him forever to figure out what it was. I remember his ever present smile and his quiet confidence and support. I remember a tough time for our dad when my brother had gotten into some trouble. I remember Mike just sitting on the front porch talking to my dad and without saying much have him comfort. He loved his girls and loved his wife. I feel extremely blessed to have had the privilege to grow up around Mike Toney. A wonderful man and I bet he and my daddy are together discussing OU vs Arkansas football!
