My love and sympathy are with those who will miss Peggy. One of my most vivid childhood memories happened in Chicago. Aunt Peggy, Uncle Lee, and all the cousins came to visit us. I was always impressed that she (and my cousin Paulette) had the same initial for our first names! We didnÃ?Â¢Ã¢â??Â¬Ã¢â??Â¢t have frequent contact with family until after I was married, and when I thought of family, it was these people of whom I pictured. Peggy (and Paulette and her twins) were there when I got married forty years ago, and when we moved to Tulsa, Peggy was one of the wise women who helped me learn to be a good homemaker. To this day, every time I fold my sheets the way she taught me, I think of Peggy! I will miss her for many reasons, but I will smile and remember her when I fold my laundry, too.

The words that come to mind when I think of Aunt Peg are "elegant and refined; classy, sassy, strong, kind-hearted,indulgent, witty, sparkling,and intelligent." I think of her often, recalling cherished memories of fun times spent together. I am so thankful to have had such an extraordinary woman as part of my life! Grandma Collins was the most amazing woman. She always had a smile on her face. She made the BEST cakes and her house was always inviting. When she was around you, all you could feel was love and warmth. I remember her holding my son when he was just 3 days old in England and she kissed him all over every chance she got. I have fond memories of seeing her at our house in Colorado and going to Casa Bonita with her for dinner one year. She lived such a wonderful life full of love and strived to make people around her happy. She had amazing eyes that smiled and her heart was pure and she shared it with EVERYONE. I love you, Grandma. Thanks for giving us your love and compassion. Thank you for being a wonderful lady.

I must say that Peggy was one of the most interesting, witty, dynamic, personable friend, mother and grandmother of best friends of mine. I see her in Colleen and Steph as they go through life. My mother was the mother that all the other kids wished they had too. Many called her "Mom" anyway. She was so much fun. She also had the kindest heart and was always there to help any human or animal who was in need. She lived a very long and rich life, outliving so many of the people whose lives she touched. The ceremony with her family and friends that have passed before her will fill the skies. Our loss is definitely heaven's gain. Memories of her will continue to make my life rich and happy and I will strive to walk in the footsteps that I admire most.

What a classy lady. Peggy, my grandmother, was a whirlwind of humor and strength for as long as I have known her. I want to thank her for playing Star Search with me as a kid and always letting me jump onto the man hole covers first for good luck. Her determination and wit are an inspiration to all of us. She will be missed greatly. I love you THE MOST, Grandma!
