in honor of Nelly.

Nelly was such a friendly neighbor! We met her soon after we moved in. I found that we had several things in common. She was from Venezuela and my cousins lived there and I had visited there several times. She attended high school in Trinidad and so did I. She and I attended different schools at different times but we could contrast the British high school system with the American. She often checked on our house when we were away. Nelly loved her two daughters and attending mass at St. Bernard's. These were very significant in her life. All of her neighbors will remember her cheerful smile! We pray for comfort for her daughters.

I was a neighbor of Nellie's for 41 years. You couldn't have had a better neighbor. She, Linda, and Brenda always watched our house whenever we were gone. I put the newspaper on her porch each morning and took their mail to them each day. Many times Nellie would come to the door to visit and would always have something funny to say. At Christmas time Nellie, Linda, and Brenda would pull up in the driveway to give me gift to thank me for getting their paper and mail. I couldn't have had better neighbors. I will truly miss her.

Goodbye Ms. Nelly (Miss Callaloo) only a Trini will know that!! You have been so sweet & kind to me. Your always a breath of fresh air to walk through our doors. You will surely be missed. Oh and yes those lovely black hair with no gray. May the good Lord open his Golden Gates to accept you with open arms!! May he also comfort your lovely daughters & keep them strong. RIP My dear!!!

Nelly was such a joy to see and talk to. She was happy and full of life. She always had something funny to say. She will for sure never have another gray hair. :) She will be truly missed. May she rest in peace!
