Nita was born on June 17, 1932 and passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017.Nita was a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma at the time of passing.Nita Faye Williams, age 85 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born in Granite, Oklahoma to the late Roy B. Thacker and Mary Askins Thacker on June 17, 1932.Nita was a strong, resilient, loving woman. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and always put their needs above her own. She died peacefully and with dignity surrounded by those who loved and respected her.Nita is preceded in death by her father Roy B. Thacker and mother Mary Askins Thacker and sisters; Patsy Lou Thacker, Glenna Conley and Twala Kelly.Nita is survived by her children; son Stan Williams and daughter Dee Ann Bowen and her husband John, grandson Josh Sparks and his wife Nicole Sparks and grandson Noah Bowen, sisters; Evelyn Jo Hill and Janet Hudelson. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.Nita was employed by The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She retired from The Corps in 2003.Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Nita’s name to a charity of your choosing.The family will greet friends at the viewing Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow.
