Novale Lee Thompson's Obituary
NOVALE L. THOMPSON, 69 Novale Lee Thompson, 69, of Oologah Oklahoma, passed away on September 5th,2015. Novale was born in Portland, Oregon on December 30th 1945. He graduated from Webster High school and continued on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.Novale served during the Vietnam War with the United States Army and later retired from the National Guard as a Master Sergeant after serving for several years. He also worked as a police officer for 45 years, 27 years with Tulsa Police Department. He worked with Tulsa Airport police for several years and later retired as Police Chief of the Oologah Police Department after 12 years.He enjoyed the outdoors, going to baseball games, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was also actively involved with the community and always willing to help a stranger in need. He was an extraordinary man who always loved to make people smile and laugh.Novale is survived by wife, Stacey Thompson of Cortland, OH; His four children, Shawnna Gosvener of Owasso, OK, Curt Thompson of Oologah, Ok, Nicole Thompson of Cortland OH, and Aaron Thompson of Cortland, OH, also survived by two grandchildren Braxton Gosvener son of Shawnna and Annabella Fontenot daughter of Nicole. Also by brother, Dan Thompson and two sisters Bobbie Roberts, and Ann Voss along with several nieces and nephews.Novale is preceded in death by his daughter Ashley Dawn Thompson, his parents Ben and Zelma Thompson, and his two brothers David and Donald Thompson.Visitation will be held on September 10th,2015 at Floral Haven Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family present starting at 6:00 PM.The funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on September 11th,2015 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Chaplin Danny Lynchard of Tulsa Police Department will be officiating.Flowers may be sent to Floral Haven Funeral Home, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be deposited into the Memorial fund in the name of Novale L. Thompson at any RCB Bank branch.
