Paul T Boudreaux's Obituary
Paul Telhiard Boudreaux, was born August 20, 1955, in Oklahoma City, OK to Paul Wilson Boudreaux and Ermarita Ann Telhiard Boudreaux and passed away May 14, 2025. Paul is survived by his wife Debbie Ann Boudreaux, brother JL Boudreaux and his wife Diana Pitzer Boudreaux, sister Rita Renee Pinto and her husband Thomas Charles Pinto, former wife Jamie Sue Boudreaux and their son Max Leo Boudreaux and his wife Brittany Anne Boudreaux, and grandson Wilson Leo Boudreaux.
A multi-letter athlete and all-city basketball star at St. Mary’s High School, Paul received an associates from St. Gregory’s University on a Tennis Scholarship in 1975. He then attended Oklahoma City University where he joined the Kappa Alpha Order before graduating with a bachelors in 1977. Paul later went to the University of Oklahoma College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor. A distinguished trial attorney having tried over 200 jury, judge and arbitration trials, Paul spent years on the defense side, before becoming a plaintiff advocate. Paul was truly passionate about helping people, specializing in the prosecution of medical and dental malpractice and insurance bad faith litigation. A recognized ‘Super Lawyer’ and in the top one percent of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, Paul litigated thousands of lawsuits across the United States, including before the 2nd and 10th circuit courts of appeals and the US Supreme Court. Many of Paul’s cases and clients have been featured in local and national news stories, including ABC's 20/20 Investigative News program, Inside Edition, and others.
Outside of the office, Paul was a blast to be around, bringing smiles to any room with his gregarious personality & quick-witted jokes. Paul will be remembered by his friends and family as the life of the party who wanted nothing more than to see those around him happy. He loved a good meal shared with family, a leisurely game of golf, or a football watch party featuring an OU Sooner victory. Paul was a card shark, skilled at Texas hold-em, having learned the hard way from his father Paul Wilson who for years won his allowance money back! Having momentarily been part-owner of a stable, Paul also had a talent for picking horses. He visited many of the top tracks with friends and family – most recently to watch the Belmont Stakes with Max in NYC. Paul was also a true cigar aficionado, having instructed others on the craft and enjoyed many a Padron, Cohiba or Montecristo over the years – often at the local lounge or in his Lincoln Town Car.
In his later years, Paul enjoyed traveling with his wife Debbie to Las Vegas or traveling to see family, playing cards, betting on horse races, playing chess with his granddaughter, or just sitting at home watching movies. Whatever he was doing or wherever he went, he had a smile on his face and was enjoying life.
Throughout his life, Paul was a proud father to his son Max, who he loved to visit – be it in Kansas, Texas, New York or London. No one was more excited by the announcement of Max & Brittany’s son Wilson than Paul, jumping and shouting when he learned of his grandson.
Paul will be remembered as a devoted father, loving husband, and unforgettable friend who truly lived life to the fullest.
