Paul Wayne Fritz's Obituary
Paul Wayne Fritz was born October 23, 1953 in Havre, MT to James Daniel Fritz and Rosella A (Paxinos) Fritz. He grew up in Montana, Washington, and Idaho before moving to Tulsa to attend Oral Roberts University. Paul graduated from ORU with a degree in education and taught History, Economics, and Comparative Religion at Jenks High School. He retired in 2005 after 30 years of teaching. Paul made history come alive to his students. He kept in touch with his students for many years by often sending a birthday greeting and some gum. After retirement he worked at Montereau retirement community.He was an active member of Tulsa Christian Fellowship where he taught Children’s Church for about 4 decades. He had an impact on generations of children and families. Paul taught the Word of God to each child and laid a firm foundation for them to serve the Lord.Paul enjoyed international travel, often accompanied by his parents, his cousin, Therese, and other family members. For many years he took his nephew and 2 nieces on a yearly trip which culminated with a family trip to 10 European countries. It was his tradition to take a photo wearing the signature yellow jacket with his right hand raised.In high school he was active in drama, wrote poetry, and was involved in his church youth group. Paul lived his life for his Lord Jesus Christ, and had a great love for his family, friends, students and coworkers.Paul is survived by his parents, James and Rosella Fritz, his brother, Peter Fritz and wife, Ruth Ann, and his sister, Donna Fritz, Nieces, Christy Pisarra and husband Charles, their children, Caleb and Cara, and Rachel Kennedy and husband, Jason, their children, Clara and Ellie, and nephew, Steven Fritz and wife, Sherrie, and their daughter Mackenzie. He is also survived by his best friend, Clay Cosby, his fiancé, Dege Davis, and a host of family…and a host of family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.“Well done, Paul, my good and faithful servant.”Viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, May 17th at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Newspring Family Church in Jenks.
