Randy Eugene Nitz's Obituary
Randy E. Nitz, 58, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away October 8, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital. He was born April 13, 1961 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Albert and Charlotte Nitz of Caney, Kansas. He graduated high school from Caney Valley in 1979. He went on to attend Coffeyville Community College on a football scholarship. Transferring on to Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Geology. In 2010 he received a MBA from the University of Tulsa. Randy was employed with the same company for 35 years most recently owned by Step Energy. Randy married his high school sweetheart Leslee Burchfield in August of 1982. They have three children Sabrina, Kellen, and Kyle. He had a love/hate relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a very skilled woodworker. He loved fishing as long as there was catching involved. Randy took great pride in taking care of his yard. Randy was preceded in death my his brother Albert Nitz Jr. Randy is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Leslee of the home; Daughter Sabrina Nitz and husband Gary DeMarco of Collinsville; son, Kellen Nitz of Broken Arrow; son, Kyle Nitz and Samantha Forrest of Broken Arrow; grandsons, Zane and Kaden Nitz; his parents, Albert and Charlotte Nitz, of Caney; sister, Debbie and Gary Morris of Independence and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Friday, October 11, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Celebration of Life Service will be 12:30 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Donations may be made in his honor to American Heart Association or American Diabetic Association.
