Rex LeClair's Obituary
Rex LeClair, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Born on September 6, 1944, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Rex was the son of Pete and Ada LeClair.
Rex’s life was marked by a deep love for his family and simple joys. He was a graduate of Chilocco Indian School and later earned his degree from OSU Okmulgee, where he trained to become an electrician — a career he pursued with pride and skill. His work ethic and steady hands reflected the way he approached life: with dedication, humility, and quiet strength.
He was a man of many passions. Rex loved the crack of a bowling ball striking pins, the hum of engines as he worked on cars, and the friendly competition of card games — especially spades and "nuts." He was a regular at bingo halls and could often be found at thrift stores or searching for hidden treasures at junkyards. Whether rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, or spending time with loved ones, Rex brought warmth, humor, and heart to every moment.
Rex was known for his soft heart and firm hand — he was gentle but steadfast, generous but principled. He held a lifelong dream of having all his family under one roof, a testament to how deeply he valued connection and kinship.
