Gary, sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless. Tony Epperson.
Although it had been a number of years since I had seen Dick, I remember him as always being a very thoughtful and kind man. Dick was an early influence on me from my early days at First Christian Church of Jenks. He was a leader in that church and had such a positive impact on everyone around him. My prayers go out to the family!
A great man and a mentor. I remember many afternoons looking at samples from the Shawnee Sample Library. He taught me many things in the oil and gas business and also was an example to me of how a father and provider should be. My condolences to his family that was blessed by his presence. RIP Dick. Richard was my best friend at Will Rogers in the class of 1948. I remember visiting Dick's family for dinner on Halloween, before our neighborhood "visits?" Seeing Mr. Norman serve his family of several boys so everyone would get their share of food was new to me as I only had a little brother at home for meals during most of my teen years. I loved Dick's family and remember Mr. Norman getting Dick and me jobs cleaning up evenings at the American Petroleum Institute show in Tulsa. May God bless and comfort all Dick's family as you mourn his leaving you for his eternal home.
