Ricky "Rick" Langston's Obituary
Rick Langston was born on October 28, 1956, in Levelland Texas. He was adopted and raised by Gene and Joyce Langston in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. He departed this life on March 30th, 2021 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years. Rick attended school at Conroe Highschool. Rick left home to serve in the Navy from January 1974 to June 1976. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. During and after his time in the service, Rick was able to travel and explore many areas of the world. Later in life, he was involved with his local VFW. Rick was known by all as an extremely hard worker, and prided himself as someone who “pulled himself up by his bootstraps”. He had many talents and worked for Goodwill Industries for almost 20 years until he retired in March of 2021. He cared greatly for his work family and his friends who became family over the years. Rick enjoyed fishing and exploring with his metal detector. Rick’s children were his life and he enjoyed spending quality time with them whenever possible. His loved ones will remember the warm smile that he had for everyone.
Rick is survived by daughter Mikki of Tulsa, Oklahoma, son Tyler of Pryor, Oklahoma daughter Jennifer of Girard, Pennsylvania, and granddaughter Jamertta of Girard, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents.
