Robert Clinton Booker's Obituary
Robert Clinton Booker was born at home on January 21, 1926 in Eureka, Kansas to his parents Harry Booker and Iva Lester Booker. Bob was the third of five children. He had two older sisters, Shirley and Maureen and two younger brothers Dean and Don. At age 17 he dropped out of high school and joined the Navy serving during World War ll in the South Pacific as a member of patrol bombing squadron 22 aboard a PBM Mariner seaplane as a radarman, radioman, and gunner. After the war, Bob went back to school graduating with his associate's degree.
Bob married Eileen Coffman on November 12, 1949. They lived in California for the first few years and had two boys, Richard and David. Moved to Tulsa in 1956 where they lived out their lives. Bob retired as a plant manager/machinist and the couple traveled North America, camping and fishing with friends and family.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Richard, daughter-in-law Judy, and grandson Jeff. Surviving family members are brother Don & Norma, Hot Springs, son David and Annette, Tulsa, grandsons Eric & Shannon, Bixby and Darryl &Taylor, Seattle. Great grandchildren are Hailey, Austin, Kaylyn and Kamryn, and Rye.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 24, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
