I had known Rob for many years since OU days, and had the privilege of working with him at the First National Bank & Trust Co. of Tulsa.I remember one time our CEO Mac McClintock introduced Rob to our customers at a bank/customer luncheon. He said “Stand up , Rob and show everyone how young you are to be a Senior Vice President”. Rob was in charge of the oil and gas division of the bank, at age 29.He was a brilliant guy, and kind and considerate to everyone!
Rob Gilbert was more like a big brother than a friend. He and his precious ML were my angels through many difficult times, always with the most generous hearts and unmatched kindness. Rob's wit was a hallmark of his warm personality. My deepest sympathy to ML and the large Gilbert family he nurtured. Rest in Love and Glory, my friend.
What a person we have lost. Someone who was a joy to know and be around, a supporter when you needed him and a person you felt fortunate to have in your life.
i am grateful that I knew Rob and will always appreciate the many ways he helped me in my career. What a resource and what a guy. I feel a loss of part of my life in his passing..
