In 1955, at Clinton Jr. High School, Mr. McCartney was my homeroom teacher. He taught me Civics. He was an excellent teacher, and a good friend. In 1956, he took me up in his airplane, and for a 15 year old kid, it was one of the highlights of my life. We sporadically stayed in touch after that, and I was sad to note his passing. He was a very positive influence on my life and I am sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I will forever be grateful to him for helping me get started in my teaching career. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
