Robert Michael "Mike" Renfro's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Michael "Mike" Renfro, born in Cassville, Missouri on November 6, 1944, and departed this world from his Broken Arrow, Oklahoma residence on July 19, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Mike will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
"Mike" Renfro, son of Bob and Pauline Renfro, loving and devoted husband of Janet Renfro, passed away at the age of 79, after a short battle with cancer.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Pauline Renfro, brother Ted Renfro & granddaughter Brooklyn Renfro (Rebecca’s daughter). He is survived by his sister Judy Carter, wife Janet Renfro, son Rob Renfro (wife Stephanie), and their four children Rachel, Brooke, Mandy & Jaden. He is also survived by his daughter Rebecca Zehner (husband Timothy Zehner), Amy Gillis, and her daughter Caylee.
Mike worked as a data analyst with Amoco Oil for many years. For his retirement, he moved to Broken Arrow where he then worked for the Election Board and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mike's hobbies included helping around the house, engaging in the activities of his family, woodworking, and watching shows on TV.
Mike was a kind and gentle man. His engaging spirit was fun-loving and entertaining. He often commented, "That is what families do, stick together and are there for one another no matter what." Mike will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mike will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Evergreen Baptist Church: 10301 E. 111th St, Bixby, OK 74008 (918-369-6400)
