Slaybaugh held a special place in my heart. The nights when he was my DO were my favorite. He had such an infectious little laugh, and I loved the way his eyes would light up at a particularly good pun. He would crack a dad joke and just wait for people to get it and start laughing. There was never a time that he didn't have an ear to listen to the people around him, and it was that trait that made him excellent at his job. I've never heard any person say one bad thing about him. I saw the tributes on Facebook, and I thought that he would have loved that AND hated it bc he was a humble man. He loved his daughters more than anything, and I'm sad that they won't know the man their dad was, how kind he was. I will miss you. I hope you found what you were looking for. Love you, brother. Every dad joke and pun will make me think about you.
