Robert Coy Slaybaugh, born on June 4, 1992, passed away on January 21, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert's greatest passion was his job, and he approached it with remarkable dedication and enthusiasm. He cared deeply for those around him and always sought to help others succeed and thrive. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Meagan, and their two beautiful daughters, Melanie and Mara. Melanie and Mara adored their father, especially the moments when he would take them to school and pick them up. The joy in their eyes was evident whenever they saw their daddy. They cherished their time at the park, playing in the backyard with Melanie's Minnie car, and enjoying video games together, defending the bunnies in Mario on the Switch.
Robert and Meagan shared nearly a decade of love and companionship, during which they brought two perfect little girls into this world. Their family was a reflection of their love and unity.
One of the most cherished memories of Robert is his love for cooking and grilling. He delighted in preparing meals for his family, always finding a way to include bacon in his dishes. His daughters fondly remember how fun he was, the games they played together, and the special pancake plates he made for breakfast. Robert's love for spicy food was a well-known trait, and he enjoyed sharing his culinary adventures with friends and family.
Beyond his family, Robert was a man of many interests. He loved reading and found joy in history, science fiction, and gaming. His friends and family recall the warmth of his company and the joy he brought to their lives.
Robert Coy Slaybaugh will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for his work, and his generous spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his father Robert Eugen Slaybaugh; and Julie Slaybaugh; and mother Shana Reed; his sister Sadie Tabora, Faith Buckner; brothers Terry Lyons, and Vance Reeding; grandparents Wilbur Dean Slaybaugh, and Ama Mea Cunningham; and cousins Barbara Toner Slaybaugh, Justin Toner, Buster Slaybaugh, Jinny Slaybaugh; and Rhonda Boyd Slaybaugh and many other friends and family.
