I only heard that Joyce had passed one day last week. My heart is still so heavy, and that would not please Joyce, because we only believed in having Happy Hearts because of the love we had always had for Jesus, and for each other. I had the pleasure of attending Central Highschool in Oklahoma City with Joyce. We pledged Blackskirts together and had oh so much fun. After graduation, we lost touch for a little while; I married Charles Galloway on July 4th, and she married Charles Evans about a year later. We hooked up again in 1951 when we were both married ladies. We lived just a block apart, were pregnant together, had our first children a week apart, and were the dearest friends. Uncle Sam interrupted when my husband had to report to the USMC. That separated us for a long while. Over the years, Blackskirts and Central reunions kept us connected. I have never known anyone in my entire life who loved life and people, like Joyce. She was so blessed, and was such a blessing. I was 90 last summer and have had such an amazing life, but it will never be the same, just knowing that Joyce has gone on ahead. Bud is certainly one blessed human to have been privileged to have shared all those fun years with her. They both thrived on love and hard work, and it certainly paid off. I can hardly wait to get to Heaven, to see what Jesus has in store for the next and best part of her life. I pray God's blessings for Bud, the girls and their families. See you in Heaven, Joyce
