Yes. Proud to say I knew Roger Coulter, or "Rog", as we all called him. We lived less than a city block from each other. My parents encouraged this friendship between us partly because they knew Roger was "academically inclined". He was smart, and did well academically, but Roger had many interests, and was committed to each. He was an "all-rounder" in sports. He had interests in music. And, he loved hunting. We lived on the east side of Pratt, and, in the 50's to the east of us was pretty much natural Kansas prairie. So, every week or so Roger and I would head east with our Daisy BB rifles. Not a sparrow or field mouse or ground squirrel was safe, as we pressed the hunt! I didn't see Roger for several years after HS graduation, but when we met again it was the same old stories, embellished once again. He was a great man and a true success in everything he encountered. Roger Coulter was a great man!
RIP, Roger and Nancy.
